NARC Morse Classes
.
The situation is gradually improving again this week.
. Those on this week were:
Tony M7NFK
Emma 2E0KFZ
James M1TES
Brian M7SEY
.
Another will be joining us on Tuesday evening, Nick M0NKT. This will be a trial period because Nick has already done a CWOPS CW Academy course online. His speed may be more suitable for Jim’s class but we shall see on Tuesday. Martyn G4VAO is much in the same boat. He has joined Jim’s class but was also listening to mine. Nothing wrong wtih that at all, in fact the best attitude to adopt.
.
Practice.
Here is where you may get left behind. IF you don’t study enough and get ALL the characters into memory, you will NOT improve at all. This will be more apparent as the gaps appear.
.
So, please try to do at least 30 minutes a day, more if you are really keen!
If you don’t I shall stay at the same place and speed for weeks. That is not the way to progress but I am prepared to wait for the slowest in the group. However this can only carry on for a period of time. YOU ALL NEED TO BE AT THE SAME LEVEL. After several weeks you should be copying 75% at least of the speed I am sending so do please try to keep up.
.
Hope to see you all next Tuesday.
Sojan M6VWN was unable to make Tuesday evenings due to having to work so I will email him direct.
.
I am having regular QSOs on 80m with David M0BLX on 3543 at 1000 clock time. He is at 24 wpm and is improving each week now. Feel free to join! He is now having lots of CW QSOs on 2m each week on Tuesday evenings.
.
