Once you have gained experience at the Foundation level we are sure you will want to take the next step which is the Intermediate licence. The Intermediate licence gives access to the Intermediate frequency allocations within the amateur bands and the Permitted power levels are increased from 25 to 100 watts.
The 2020 pandemic brought about big changes to the way people could obtain their license and most people now self teach using the RSGB course books (https://www.rsgbshop.org/acatalog/Online_Catalogue_Training_19.html) or take one of the many online courses. They can also take their exam online in the comfort of their own home.
Because of these changes as a club we now see much less little demand for in person courses or hosting exams, but we may still arrange a course if there is sufficient demand to ensure the school hire costs are reasonable for those attending.
