As sometimes happens in life, some of the nicest things are unplanned…
As you know there was a solar eclipse on Wednesday night where we had a regular informal meeting booked at CNS fro many months, long before anyone mentioned the partial eclipse.
As the peak eclipse was around 19.15 several people had had the same idea of bringing various things to view the phenomena at the school, from standard Solar specs to welding glass’s, full SLR with solar filters, solar safe sextant and binoculars also with filters.
It ended up a nice little party with around 20 of us gathering outside our room on the grass sharing specs and pictures – a lovely impromptu club event!
My thanks to everyone who entered into the spirit of this unplanned party and shared their wonderful pictures. [© Acknowledged to the people who took the pictures]
