Frankie M9VXR would like to beg, borrow or buy a cable…
I wonder if anyone has a spare slcab8r cable? It’s for doing digital modes with my ft-757gx
It is a foster style 8 pin round to an RJ45 for the back of a Signalink.
Many thanks, Frankie (please contact via David G7URP)
From Tom G6TOM…
Meshtastic is “The Latest Thing” a Bury St Edmund’s ARC subgroup, have been working on for a few months. This video introduces the system, and I now know what all the messages in their “WhatsApp” are about for the first time.
So, (as I understand it from the video), Meshtastic is a licence free text messaging facility, using commercially available products, that transmit and receive (legally) using Bluetooth (and / or?) 915MHz low power free to use RF, outside the cell phone network, and not controlled or restricted by the government (other than the transmitted power level).

Do let me know if I got this right, and if it has a bearing within amateur radio?
