I am pleased to confirm that I have organised a coach trip to the opening day of the 2026 National Hamfest in Newark on Friday 25th September and bookings are now open to everyone. This is now the largest radio show in the UK and as well as having most of the major manufacturers, suppliers and the RSGB has lots of smaller traders.
There is plenty of room on the luxury coach to bring home large equipment purchases like antenna, as well as space for folding mobility scooters or buggy’s if you would like to bring one.
As usual there are pickup points on the East and West of Norwich which both offer free parking all day and the cost for the return trip, including entrance ticket, is just £30 inclusive. Remarkably, given the increase in the cost of fuel, this is the same price as last year and my thanks to the National Hamfest organisers for supporting us with special volume pricing for our trip. The minimum number of people I need to make the trip viable is 26.
NARC does not aim to make any profit from this event (indeed last year we made a small loss), but it does need your support as it costs a lot to run which is maybe who no other coaches usually go, so please support this club organised event.
