The NARC Morse Classes will be starting in about 6 weeks time, depending on students.
We would like to see some younger members if possible this year. Morse is a timeless mode and will always be within the hobby. Do not think of it as a mode restricted to older amateurs. The fact that older amateurs are experienced in Morse is the fact that we had to take a Morse test in order to obtain a licence. We need younger operators now to replace some of us older operators who no longer wish to take graveyard shifts or take part in lengthy 24 or 48 hour contests. We have those T-shirts, now it’s your turn!
We will be discussing classes soon and would appreciate some idea of how many would like to learn, and also when would be a convenient time. We can be versatile and incorporate day classes as well as evening classes. Winter time does not keep us in the garden so more time is available during the day.
Please let us know in the first instance:
1 If you are interested.
2 Do you prefer day or evening classes?
3 If you are a raw beginner or already at a certain level.

I do hope you consider this. It is not easy, but the rewards are well worth it. It is not just for contesting either. There is nothing quite like holding a long conversation on CW with another like-minded amateur in another part of the world. NOT being able to use Morse denies you access to 40% of the available frequency allocation on HF.
