John Lockwood G3XLL: RAFARS locals…

The Royal Air Force Amateur Radio Society (RAFARS) (rafars.org) exists for people to communicate with each other, who have links to the Royal Air Force and an interest in aeronautical communication and amateur radio.  VHF member nets operate in some parts of the UK, though none regularly in East Anglia.   Daily HF nets operate on 7.155MHz at 1100L and on 3.715MHz at 2000L, both +/- QRM, and non-members are welcome to call in.

John G3XLL in Diss is a RAFARS member and wonders if any NARC members also have an interest in this aspect of our hobby and like to get in touch? He can often be found on 2m, via his QRZ page, or via NARC.

I thought this would be of general interest to all Radio Amateurs. Not only 70cm but this video also mentions a number of other restricted areas for fixed beacons.
