WRTC needs local volunteers!

WRTC 2026 is a major undertaking comparable to the olympics in that it is an international event which runs every 4 years and brings the best radio operators from all over the world together in a competition.

To showcase the best of amateur radio contesting here in the UK is an immense honour and not only is it in the UK but it is also on our doorstep with most stations in Norfolk and the International HQ at Wyboston Hotel just down the road in Cambridgeshire.

For the event to run as smoothly the team needs a lot of help and NOW is the time to get involved!

Areas that where you and your friends could help include:

  • Contest Station Managers
  • Contest Station Builders – particularly on 4, 5 & 6 July 2026
  • Transport – helping with airport and contest site transport for competitors and referees

If you think you might be able to help for all or some of the WRTC 2026 period (mainly 4th-12th July), please contact our Volunteer coordinator to find out more (without obligation)

This really is an International Event on our doorstep and several NARC members are already on the WRTC team, so do not miss this once in a lifetime opportunity to be involved.

See wrtc2026.org for more information about the event.
