David G4BDY is a local Norfolk amateur (Pulham St Mary) and has a Yaesu FT200 with matching power supply which has not been switched on since the 1980’s. He retrieved them from the loft, powered them up but got a puff of ‘magic’ white smoke 🙁 (After 40 years of non power its most likely some capacitors in the power unit but I have no other details).
He is offering the radio and Power supply free to anyone who would like it – first come first served including a box of valves for it!
