Wednesday 1st April – Construction Competition and AGM

Tonight two exciting events at CNS School!

From 19.00-19.45 is our annual Construction Competition which is open to any current member who can enter anything at all they have made – commercial kit, home-brew or something in between – as long as they have built it themselves and the item has not won this competition previously.

Last years winner of the construction competition Martin G7UGB will be judging the items and will announce the winner later in the AGM.

At 20.00 is our Annual General Meeting which features a look back at the past year, appoints new officers and committee to run your club for the next year, and presentation of awards.

We will also be revealing how much money we raised for our two charity’s, British Heart Foundation and Prostate Cancer UK and I hope to have representatives from each organisation to say a few words too. The membership there also decide with a show of hands which charity we will be supporting this year – five charity’s have been nominated.

The AGM Agenda will not be printed for environmental reasons and to save costs but it has been attached to newsletters sent to 400 subscribers on 31.3.26 as a PDF and which may be viewed on most devices or printed if desired. The AGM is open to members and non-members, but only current members are entitled to vote.

If you are a member and wish to record your apologies for absense then please send them to radio@dcpmicro.com by 16.00 on the day of the AGM. Thank you.

We meet from 1900-2130 in the CNS 6th form common room at the front the school (first building immediately on the left as you drive in) – Cold drinks and biscuits will be available to purchase and there is also a hot drinks vending machine in the adjacent canteen room.

IMPORTANT NOTES FROM CNS SCHOOL VENUE

• Under no terms is smoking or vaping permitted on site. Any smoking or vaping must be done off the school grounds not just outside buildings – if any groups are found guilty of the no smoking or vaping rule they will be asked to leave site and all future sessions will be cancelled.

• Please do not enter the school before the NARC hire time of 19.00 – thanks.
