Stuart M0JKB - Silent key
I am really sorry to bring you the very sad news that Stuart Lucas M0JKB has passed away.
Stuart had not been ill but died suddenly at home on Friday evening while his wife Zena was cooking their evening meal and paramedics, who arrived within minutes, could not revive him.
It goes without saying that this is a huge shock for Zena, their family and to the many friends and radio amateurs who knew him, not only as a fellow ham but as NARC's Lead Training Instructor who organised courses and nurtured, taught and supported countless amateur radio amateurs over many years.
I am in contact with Zena and she is happy that we share this tragic news with you all. She has told me that there will not be an open funeral or service as that was both of their wishes, but at the beginning of the NARC meeting at CNS this Wednesday I will be saying a few words and inviting anyone else to add anything they would like to say before we hold a minutes silence. I will also be passing around a NARC sympathy card to be signed on the evening - if you are not coming but would like me to include your name and callsign in this card, or would like me to read out a short message to share with others there, please email me before Wednesday morning (This email address is being protected from spambots. We have several club pictures of Stuart, but the one I have chosen to show here is one I took of him teaching at our Intermediate course just a few weeks ago because he was absolutely dedicated to training and this helped bring so many people into this wonderful hobby...
Stuart Lucas M0JKB, rest in peace.
