Thursday 5th July
Follow the Torch
As he Olympic Torch travels around the UK, there will be stations set up around the country. The callsign will be GX4WAB while in England ,with the X replaced by appropriate regional identifier in other countries, this is a Worked all Britain callsign, you can take part by contacting stations using this callsign from 19th May until 27th July, there will be awards available from WAB for contacting 10 or more different locations.
NARC will have the GX4WAB callsign on the 5th July when the Torch is in Norfolk & you will have a chance to operate using this callsign from the Hainford qth of Chris G0DWV which is near the route of the torch.

Sunday 15th July
Very informal family and friends get together on the North Norfolk Coast at West Runton . Its a very informal affair intended to bring everyone together in a relaxed way, although you can bring a radio or two and how about someone volunteering to prepare a 'just for fun' radio related quiz?The nearby cafe will serve all kinds of food and drinks at modest prices or you can bring a picnic plus as usual MAC will be there and I will bring my gas Bar B Q for your own sausages and burgers. Hope to see lots of you there again - check out the gallery for pictures of the fun at previous events.

Wednesday 25th July: The Secret Listeners by Paul G3SEM.
This evenings talk is by Paul G3SEM who was both researcher and producer of this BBC TV programme which looks at the crucial but until recently secret work the VI's, or Voluntary Interceptors, did working closely with Bletchley Park during the war. As well as watching the 30 minute programme Paul will explain how he cut through the red tape with the D-notice committee and made this programme.
