Steve G0KYA and Jim G3YLA gave a wonderful presentation on this clever and affordable QRP CW rig on Wednesday 10th January (still available as a video on the clubs Facebook page).

Whilst they made clear this kit should not be the first kit you have ever made, as a club we are there to help, support and educate and so will help beginners solder and, eventually after making something simpler, build this kit.

As you know the club is supporting this project with a bulk buy purchase shortly and we can now announce that the price will be £30 to any club members and this includes a set of IC sockets for all the DIL chips a recommended by Steve and delivery to the club. (regular price is £37 each without extra IC sockets). You can reserve yours by emailing how many radios you want and which band you require: 17/20/30/40/60/80 metre versions are available.

36 members have ordered so far and the deadline to order at this special club price is this Wednesday 24th January where payments of £30 per radio will also now be welcomed, either in cash at the club, cheque at the club or by post to me or by BACS to the club account. If paying by BACs you must use your callsign + QCX as the bank reference and also email me to tell me what you are ordering - quantity and band required.

Offer is open to any paid up member of the club - 2018 subs are now due if you have not already renewed or joined (details on the home page of the NARC website).
