I've just had a visit from Breckland council advising me that I will need to apply for permission for my mast and 3 antennas, Cobwebb, 6M beam and 2 meter beam.

He said there was 1 person who has complained about it to a local councillor and being that I am a bit of a built up area, in his words, "I probably won't get permission"

Is there anyone that can help me please, I have just started to get a antennas set up for myself, wife (M6RZO) and my youngest boy I don't want to have to loose it all

you were lucky, you had a visitor, i got a letter lol for mine in watton.

what i did was reply back saying it wasnt permament and got away with it lol.

what i would do is get the appropiate forms and fill in, someone from club or i will help you. and send back along with the fee.

if your a member of the rsgb then they have section that can help and advise with planning issues

I am a member of the RSGB and I've had a quick look on their website, like you said there is someone at the club that deals with planning, as I've never had to deal with it before.

The guy did tell me I could keep my antennas as long as they are no higher than 1.6 meters above ground, ok 50 watts into 12db 2m beam!! lol
I can afford the £172 fee, it just seems a lot for a 90 x 90 mast in a 2ft x 2ft hole lol
