Six Metre Contest (Interested ??) was created by G0CBO
We had a meeting earlier this year of all those which had shown an interest in having a go at a VHF contest. Both Chris G0DWV and Andy M0NKR are able and willing to put on a Six Metre Contest Station over the weekend June1st/2nd. This is a contest run by the UK Six Metre Group . The idea being to work as many stations we can over the weekend 13.00 utc to 13.00 utc Sat and Sun.

Exchange is report, ser no and possible SMG book number.

This is also is the weekend for the Radio Active Event at Great Ellingham.

This is real chance to experience operating on Six metres in Sparodic E conditions and can give a good insight as to how this occurs and moves around.

This is to ask all operators ,new licensees etc to sign up to do a slot. Normally we have two per slot one to operate other to log.. Also to assist with station set up and close down.

If you are able to help please contact Chris,Andy or me at the club or drop an E Mail.

There are a few VHF contests we can have a go at throughout the year and depending on your support the committee are keen to pursue with VHF events

NARC Training 2019

Training is very important to us as we realise that is how new people can come into the hobby and attain their Foundation, Intermediate and Advance Amateur Radio licenses.

The Syllabus and Exams for all levels is changing significantly from August 2019 and so like many other clubs we need to take a break from running courses from August to give us time to research, prepare and plan courses based on all three levels for 2020. However we will be running three courses before August; A Foundation course in April, an Intermediate course from March - May and another Foundation course in June - July. So if you would like to take either of these exams with NARC in 2019 you need to book your place as soon as possible by emailing Exam Secretary David G7URP: This email address is being protected from spambots.
