It's the First Class CW Operator's Club 80th Birthday this year. Join us in the celebration by participating on the 80th Anniversary Challenge during the Month of May, 2018. How to participate is described here: http://g4foc.org/foc80
It really is helping to liven up the CW end of most bands with special calls such as GX80FOC active, You can sign on to the FOC Cluster to see exactly what stations are on what bands:
http://foc.dj1yfk.de/bandmap
Everybody is welcome and you can gain a very nice certificate, depending on how many stations you work over the month. Upload to Clublog and take a look at the Leaderboard on there to see what points you are accruing.
.
NFD is coming soon on Saturday/Sunday June 2/3. Lots going on at Radio Acitve and this will be at the Ellingham Ranch of David G7URP. It's the big weekend of the year aside from Barford, but with NFD taking place at the same time. Miss this and it will be YOUR loss.
.
The schedule for Morse tuition locally for the summer will be a continuance of the daily classes which Chris G4CCX runs on two metres. They will be as follows:
.
Tuesdays:
1000 - 1100 Coffee Break Morse with Chris G4CCX on 145.250MHz
.
Thursdays:
1000 - 1100 Coffee Break Morse with Chris G4CCX on GB3NB
.
The Tuesday class is well attended, as is the Thursday class on GB3NB.
.
EVENING CLASSES WILL RESUME ONCE AGAIN IN LATE SEPTEMBER SO WATCH THIS SPACE.
.
Following the Forum at NARC there will be Morse on Informal evenings at the Club. On contest evenings, Paul M1AFQ will be running a class in the computer room and will be teaching from scratch.
Paul M1AFQ also has a social mini-bootcamp at his QTH on Thursday afternoons. Everyone is welcome ( not sure how large his place is!!! ) and any time after 12.30. QTHR
Jim G3YLA has organised a class of those who have done CW in the past but wish to resume once again. Jim will not be available on contest Informals, but will be available after July when the CC contests finish.
.
Besides these schedules, it will also be possible to learn on line using Skype. Classes will be held using that medium in the near future. Let me know if you are interested. Les G0DFC is interested in this so keep an eye on this space and I will let you know when it has been set up.

Hi some of you will not be getting the NARC Newsletter mostly people with email addresses containing live.com, live.co.uk, outlook.com, hotmail.co.uk, hotmail.com and aol.com
This is due to problems with our hosting company and the shared ip address we use to host our email server.
I am afraid I am unable to change this currently. I have asked the host to look into this and remove the problem ip address from the blacklist.

You can always read the newsletter online or change the email address you have the newsletter delivered to.

Regards Mark G0LGJ

I am sure by now that you are already aware of the new Data Protection Act called GDPR which comes into effect on 25th May and all businesses and orgnaisations within Europe will need to comply with the new regulations, including small clubs like NARC.

We are busy updating our systems and privacy policy and if you already subscribe to our newsletter you will shortly receive an email from us specifically about GDPR.

Please look out for this email soon and respond accordingly in order to stay in touch!

73, David G7URP

PS, our hosting company has also just been changed and we hope that will solve many of the recent problems delivering newsletters to some email domains.
