It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Pat G3IOR who passed away today, Thursday 17th August, at the age of 85.
Pat had been ill for some time and passed away peacefully at Cavell Court with his wife Norma and friend John G0MXN by his bedside.
Pat has always been a big part of the Amateur Radio Community for many years, teaching and elmering many of our members, including Roger G3LDI who has known him since he was 14 and in fact was Best Man at Pat and Normas wedding.
As well as teaching radio amateurs in his personal life, Pat was a Technician and instructor at Norwich City College and so helped many launch their career in electronics. He was also passionate about the coastlines of Norfolk and in particular the effects of coastal erosion, spending a large part of his life campaigning for this cause.
As soon as Pats funeral details are known we will let you know here.
Meantime we send our sympathy and thoughts to his wife Norma, family and friends.
73, David G7URP
